I wonder if there is a forum for this car. If so, i wonder if there are tales of engine failure and you would have been driving around paranoid all this time. Bet that engine has tabless bearing shells as does my Focus, now on 235,000 miles.

As you say Andi I have never bothered about the tales of woe on this car I have never been on a site about them. It is still the same engine gearbox turbo and injectors. It had its first replacement clutch at 230,000 and its second at 285,000 due to a faulty clutch plate. The only other new thing it has had is an alternator. I would love another but they are about £25.000 and i only have around £16.000 to spend as i will only get around £ £2500 to 3000 trade in against a new one. I will probably owe wbac money if i take it there with the milage
