Stolen spare wheel and replacement query
Hi,
This morning I went out to my Disco only to find the metal spare wheel retainer sitting on the drive next to the car! Some **** had cut the cable and stolen the spare wheel! (This is in the Reading area just to warn you)
Anyway, the point of this post, I have found a Disco 4 wheel available. Can someone please just confirm if Disco 4 wheels fit straight on to a Disco 3?
yes i think so then you need one of my spare wheel protectors no so it dose not happen again Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication [email protected] D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

Dave ..yes a D4 wheel will fit a D3 Check whether its a 19 or 20" though to get the best match with your own set As Uncle Ray (RLD) says you would be wise to invest in one of these magnificent protectors
PM RLD for details21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

My RLD wheel protector ordered last week arrived yesterday and will be fitted today.
Great service
On another depressing note, I see you can now get catalytic converter anti theft kits for Land Rovers. It's becoming a sad world.

Thanks guys, that's a great help.
Definitely going to look into the protector once I have a new wheel as I would imagine they will unfortunately be back!
Need a new winch as well first though as they cut the cable!

That's great, thanks.
Looked on said auction site but unfortunately only new ones available for £90 plus delivery. They are only £104 from LandRover so I would rather just do that.
Will definitely be getting the protector. Will PM now.
Thanks again.

I see in Disco 3's with the wheel the worng way up...
....which means the retaining cable is furled out more & be accessed & cut very readily
also if the cable end piece isnt fitted back in the wrong way up mode it dangle down (like a small willy ) beneath the car.....!!!! ready to be cleaved of at the first sight of any underbody obstructionBREXIT - done properly.

I've seen more RRS's with the wheel fitted the wrong way round - maybe they can afford to loose thiers.
