Extended roof rails fitting

Bought a set recently for 12my d4
At the front of the roof there is couple of holes which are covered with a rubber cover which i cannot remove:

I tried to get it out with a flat screw driver to lift out of the thread, also tried to turn it with the friction of my hand but it wont move.

or a proper trim clip removal tool. When I did mine, one came out easy, the other was a Censored .

what, the cost of extended roof rails, or the cost of a trim clip extractor tool - these are about a fiver from a decent motor factor

I got the trim off with the pliers in the end. I bought the roof rails off ebay from powerful.co.uk . I paid 160 for them in silver because my D4 is black and its a nice contrast but they come in black also. I know they are china made copies but in my opinion the quality is ok annd its on the roof at the end of the day.The 1st pair they sent was dmamaged but it it was replaced quickly wirhin the week. Considering the price of lr ones I think thheir good value.

I had to get mine from LRdirect.co.
I did contact slimer and was told there was a two week wait which was no problem to me and he would contact me when back in stock....
Obviously still no stock Rolling Eyes
