Spaced out! 60mm fatter and a bit blacker

More parcels arrived yesterday Very Happy set of 30mm spacers and set of black letters.
Fitting was pretty straight forward with my new komatsu jack, which was still pushed to the limit!

Bit of a rub down.......

Inbetweenie shot right done, left not.

Bonnet letters! Masking taped around the letters. Bit of dental floss and the letters gone..... Leaving a foamy, gluey mess, which the only thing I could find that seems to budge was skin! Rubbed it off with fingers! Sure there's got to be a trick for this.......

Looks fuller..... Doesn't drive any differently, but really needs some tyres now. Anybody got any pics of some 20' wheels with AT's on to help me decide? Looks like the headlight are going to have to go in the oven in not too distant future.

I run 30mm spacers with Winters (more room for chains) and with MTs, it does make the car look more purposeful, no question. Very nice looking Disco there Thumbs Up

This looks a good place to ask a question.

What torque for the piddley wee nuts that fit inside the spacers?

Looks too dark for Stornoway, must be Bonatti but OP hasn't bothered to fill in his profile so we'll just have to guess. Rolling Eyes

I put mine on at 100ft/lb or 140NM, same as the wheel nuts Thumbs Up

Cheers All, ya the pup loves it, she was barred from my last car......... Navigator are we really torquing nuts Shocked mmmm well there not overly engineered, but I would call them piddley either they look sufficient enough. When I get the wheel and tyre dilemma sorted I'll give them a good testing out. As for torquing up, I'll going with beanie on that. I just treat them like a wheel and I've never see or torqued a wheel nut up, but sure as eggs are eggs there'll be a manual some where that says you should.
Thanks for the offer beanie Thumbs Up I do like the grille mod, but still loving the solid look an feel of the original grille Very Happy in time I may change my mind, but for now I'm thinking bib.
You've got me on the colour Embarassed I thought it was grey Exclamation so then I filled my profile in I just pick Bonetti Gray solely because it was at the top of the list Laughing

I never used to bother until I was passed by one of my rear wheels on the way to Billing a few years ago. Glad it was the 101 with huge brake drums as it just drove straight until it stopped.

Cheers Andy I'll have a look next time I'm forced to go under there....... Thumbs Up Nav it is amazing how much a wheel can accelerate once it's detached it's self, not had it happen but seen it. However I can see where your problem could be..... You did happen to have a wee dram of Irn Bru before tweaking them up did we? Rolling with laughter

Although I don't have any decent photo's to share I can say that I've been very happy with my 265/50/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. They are fairly quite on the road, and work awesome in snow (we had a real winter this year with plenty of snow and ice). They are pretty low profile so I don't take them off-roading, that's what my Goodyear's are for. I chose Nitto over Cooper LTZ for the bigger profile 50 vs 45. With 20's you need All the extra rubber profile you can get.

The Nitto's get the Thumbs Up from me.
