| Loud clicking from rear brakes |

Hi guys,
When braking gently at moderate to low speeds I'm hearing a rapid clicking from the rear left hand brake, more noticeable if the window is down but loud enough to draw attention to my car from pedestrians.
It doesn't happen when breaking hard and there is no noticeable lack of breaking performance. It doesn't seems to do it when breaking in reverse.
I had the brakes inspected and they "think" it may be a warped disc. I have booked the car in to have the discs machined but in the mean time it seems to getting worse and I'm worried that something may be coming loose, like a caliper!
I'd like to investigate myself. If I jack the car up will I be able to turn the rear wheel with the handbrake off and in neutral?
I've got two trolley jacks and axle stands - are there any do's and don'ts re jacking and supporting suspension?

Make sure you chock the other wheels so it wont roll off stands

..........Yes,if you jack both rear wheels off the ground, but obviously don't get under it or take a wheel off without supporting it on stands, and as above, chock the front wheels before doing anything. I've never seen it on a D3, but a disc may be cracked  which would cause that kind of noise. Also if it isn't that and you are having the discs machined, really you need to measure the disc thickness, if they are near the minimum thickness (17mm), is it worth having this done?

I will definitely take precautions  Although I don't believe I need to get under the car anyway.
The discs were replaced when I bought the car and they haven't worn through the first set of pads yet so they should be well within the required thickness.
I was wondering where to jack the rear of the car from? I want to use a trolley jack but I don't want to damage anything.
Is it okay to jack the body of the car an let the suspension hang free or do I need to jack under the suspension? (or support the suspension?)

Set the suspension to off road height,if your jack has a good lift height use the cross member in front of spare wheel just behind the rear diff,other wise jack on the chassis not the body work near or on the jacking points and place axle stands under the chassis as well.
