Nice work on your D3, obviously taken a lot of time and effort to completely transform your car to something quite amazing. Just shows what can be done to a D3 without actually having to buy a D4.
After such work why would you want to sell it as this is a personal choice and in my opinion, all vehicles we choose and give time to has a more valuable and meaningful connection.
I like it

well after some grief have now got the D4 colour coded door handles on all round, the passenger one you have to remove the D3 emergency key barrel assembly to get the original handle out, but you can do this without removal of the door cards.
Will get a pic on once I get the car actual cleaned with the weather at the moment
will help anyone wanting to do this if they want a hand FFRR SC 4.2

Help with BSM retrofit on a 2012 D4
Hi Rob,
I have a MY12 D4 SDV6 HSE. I am looking to facelift it to MY14, complete with the door mirrors like you have done, and do a BSM while I am at it, not looking at camera though.
Can you share the part numbers you used for the wing mirrors components and bsm components?
Thanks,
david

Well got a bit more finished off today, got the old door indicators removed and re-routed the power cable to the new mirror indicator completely.
Finally able to fit my own set of three XXV badges
Please could you let me know how those indicator hole blanking plates are fitted to the door? Are they clipped in, or are they fitted with double sided tape? I'd like to be able to remove mine on my 16MY and refit indicators; if I know how they're fitted, it'll be easier to do without causing any damage 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Thanks.
I've tried to gently pry, but couldn't get any movement so stopped trying. Can you recommend the best way to try and lever it (if there is one!)please?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Are you trying to get the SDV6 or XXL black plate off?

The SDV6 one. It only serves to remind that the bean counters at Land Rover wouldn't pay for new press tools to NOT punch the hole for the side repeater!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Well the Badge has two grommets on it to locate it at each end. Did not look like a direct replacement for the indicator hole so I have no idea what's underneath on a 2016 model....
