Firstly, thanks for the information
Secondly, I really don't like them - they just look like cheap blanking plates to me! I'd rather keep the specification and engine size to myself too!
I'd like to remove them and replace them with either clear or smoked inductor lenses - I'm not sure which would look best (what do you reckon would look best with Firenze red?). Unfortunately, much as I'd like them to work, I don't want to know how much additional work that's likely to involve!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Personal choices of course but I think the moving of the indicators to the mirrors was a great move and I really like the replacement badges.
How odd will it look with double side indicators one set not working....
Just my opinion
(and not that it really matters but peeps in the know may think its a converted D3....)

I like the indicators in the mirrors too, even though they can no longer be seen by anyone alongside the car if they happen to be behind the mirror.. I hope that we can agree to disagree on what the blanking plates look like
Considering that I've already taken DISCOVERY off the bonnet and replaced it with LAND ROVER (and it's running a private plate) and even the DISCOVERY badge has gone from the rear, it's probably looking a bit age confused already! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Absolutely its "Each to their own" being a dealer I simply believe that the exact factory look is best for retaining value...
Customising (I am sometimes guilty too with my own cars) can be fun but it rarely improves the look (or value) the factory design team normally get it right.

I probed the blanking plate on my driver's door with a single index fingernail. To my surprise, the whole plate literally flew off without any effort at all!
What look like plastic clips behind the plate are simply guides to make sure that it centres properly in the vacant indicator hole behind the plate; the plate is actually only held in place by two very small patches of double sided tape and fair amount of optimism!
Clear indicators are now on order 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Guys, anyone info in wiring up D4 mirrors into a D3. I have some for mine, tried transferring the indicator wires over tonight, but they wouldn't work. Is there a bulb in the D4 mirror mounted indicator or is it an LED. I just cut the 2 wires in the existing D3 door mounted indicator and tried connecting it to the yellow and green wires going to the D4 mirror, no joy, unless something is missing off my mirrors?
