We need a section purely for those owners with cars over 10 years old. Mine's there if it's from manf date or will be allowed in in a few months if it's reg date. We can keep out all those youff whippersnappers in their blinged up poshmobiles.

I take mine to a proper garage where the mechanics know one end of a spanner from the other and fix it first time with proper parts. This is what I pay them to do. I don't pay them to clean it.
I think LR dealers lull you into false sense of well being and professionalism by cleaning your motor. I think it helps hide their general ignorance, but I suppose they can't do that much damage with a sponge - can they? New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

It's the level of pretentiousness i have to suffer at the dealers that does my head in, from the moment you walk in the door it starts. And when you ask for a price on parts, that normally involves a sharp intake of breath as they no it's laughable what they ask for some pretty basic things.

Just ask the main dealers if they can wash half the car,
If they say no/why?
Tell them it's because they only washed half it the last time.
That's what mine was like anyway, looked like Stevie Wonder washed it
( and before anyone gets upset I've nothing at all against the blind) wife works with them
Better off getting an indie or Disco Mikey to do the work, cheaper, honest and no bulls or fancy showrooms to contend with. D3 57 xs Stornaway grey
D2 02 commercial silver gone but a great servant and won't be forgotten
