+1 for a box, I use a Lintran. Mine leaves a space down the side to store bits and can get 5 whippets in. Much safer in an accident the dogs are then contained rather than bolting down the road.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

That's a valid point. I know of someone whose spaniel traveled in the boot of their Passat, proper dog guard fitted and a dog bed.
The Passat was in an accident on the M4, boot flies open and the spaniel was running around screaming on the motorway for about 30 seconds before getting hit and killed. The owner was out of wreck and saw it all happen.

I think for ease of use and cost, Trans K9 being near £500!! , I'm going to get the UK custom covers one. Thanks for the recommendations peeps.

Iv got a UK custom cover in mine it's great. The only thing is you have to really clean the plastics with alcohol before applying the Velcro or it doesn't stick at all. I ended up buying more Velcro and putting it the full length of the boot after spending ages cleaning of the silicon that was on the plastic.
It looks great and keeps the boot very clean.

They do advise cleaning the plastic (and recommend an autglym product) first.
However, ive used a prep wipe, let it dry and then stick then let the Velcro adhere for 12hrs. No problem
You will be pleased with custom covers in my opinion.
Oh one point - there are two options, basically one for the seats up and one that can be used for a fully flat load bed...I went for the one only designed for the seats to be upMike

Does anyone have a full fitted boot liner?
I have the rubber mate but was planning on a fitted liner to protect from dog hairs and the like.
Being semi-rigid it is much easier to put in and out, doesn't need velcro and IMHO looks a lot neater.
Only downside is they have as longish delivery time (3 weeks) and the customer service isn't the best.
Do you have pics of the boot buddy in the Disco? Iggy/Ieuan

Here you go
If you look closely you'll see various holes. These were cut by me to allow access to securing points below. Also, in the foreground is the flexible bit that covers the lower tailgate. That is the only bit that has Velcro on.
To remove:
- clear out the old towels, etc that are on the floor
- remove the bit that covers the lower tailgate
- lift out*
All done inside 3 minutes.
* There are 3 x press-studs at each of the upright corners that hold the siders and front together. Although you can lift it out with those still fastened, I find it best to unfasten those on one side first.
To get at the side lockers, you simply pull back the rear sides and they flip back into position once you're finished.

I bought the full length LR liner when I first got my D3 - protects the sides and floor when all rows are folded
Wasn't cheap (cant remember how much TBH) but worth its weight in gold for tip runs etc.
Also bought a cheapo lipped liner for just the boot (rear only folded) - OK for floor protection - but no side protection like above

^ if that question was aimed at me - yes it does - though I need to replace them as they have become brittle and lost their suction - I think its about 12 years old now

I've just had my UK Custom Cover delivered but it doesn't seem to fit - I've emailed them and am waiting on a response.
Can someone who has one just double check something for me please?
The back seat fixings should apply (from what I can see) to the seat folding levers, the centre to centre of these levers is 118cm in my D4.
The velcro patch centres are 107cm however....
The cover itself is 123cm wide, so from what I see the velcro patches should be stitched near the outer edges of the cover, not slightly inward as they are in mine.
