| New cars first big outing |
|
Hi just taken our new to us disco 3 for its first full work out since Steve at T&S Norman did a flush and reset the gearbox brain. Travelled Taunton to Cardiff on to the Gower, Oxwich Bay, Tenby, St Davids and then to the overnight halt via the pub. Up early then on to Aberaeron, Aberystwyth then joined the route suggested in the Times last week the A44 - A470 - across the Cambrian Mountains and Brecon Beacons to Abergavenny. Finally M5 back to Taunton area averaged 31 mpg with a light right foot. The weather was Disco weather all the way to Cardiff and car behaved impeccably. We only once wished that we had taken the Porsche 911 for a few miles on the A470 (the Disco would have been second choice) but for the remainder of the time the D3 was a fantastic drive. keep getting the feeling that the D3 is the car we always should have brought, I think the poor old Porsche shudders every time a D4 comes in view! One happy Disco owner

Perfect day, know those roads very well and Oxwich is a favorite camping location Iggy/Ieuan
