Best passenger ever?

I had an amazing passenger in my Discovery last month. Very Happy

I was involved in bringing a course called Mission Discovery to my town. The course is run by former NASA staff - actual rocket scientists, astronaut trainers and former Astronauts. 200 school kids took part in a week long course and competed to design an experiment to be blasted off to the ISS in january.

The course is run the amazing Michelle Ham... The astronaut she brought over was her husband... Ken Ham. Ken was Commander and Pilot on 2 space shuttle missions. One was onboard Atlantis, the other was onboard Discovery!

I was on the Airport runs and had the Commander of Discovery riding shotgun in my Discovery! Amazing and really cool guy!

Prior to take off, astronauts go through a quarantine period... then night before they get to eat anything that they want... its called 'the last supper'... Ken had a classic american cheeseburger and fries!
