Advice for a potential d3 owner

Howsit guys.

Just about to purchase an 09 d3 2.7 auto SE facelift. The vehicle has 117000 on the clock with a full service history from the dealers. Any idea on what to look out for on the Year model?

I'm coming from a D2 so reliability and maintenance is part of my life already.

Thanks in advance

Hi, make sure that the timing and auxiliary belts have been changed or get them changed as part of the deal. They should be done at around the 170,000 kilometer mark but no harm doing them now. Also check that the front lower control arm bushes are ok by either driving over rough road or braking hard at slow speed and listen out for a clonk. I also graduate from a series 2 to 3, they are very different animals but if you get a good one, then you will not look back. If the car is local and not an import, you should not have issues like I had with the emission control. Let me know if you need more info.. Question
