I have mine on for a few months, and have had no issue, however, in Karratha ther's not a lot of rain.
When I wnet down to Perth last month, with a number of heavy showers along the way, they didn't miss a beat and any wiper speed.
The juddering is nothing to do with the wiper motor or arms, it's all to do with the blades.
With the after maket stuff, you can get single, twin, multiedge, coloured, silicone, graphite impregnated,...blades to suit, and so long as the blades remain flexable to be able to sweep with the trailing edge in the opposite direction of the arm movement, they will slide over the glass with out issue.

Thanks Tony - I'll give them a go tomorrow, as soon as the shops open. FWIW, I did try bending the wiper arms a little by hand and it did seem to work for a while. I suspect the metal in the arms has a good memory and soon goes back to its bad habits within a few miles.
Cheers,
Rob

Wopac5 definitely owe you one. My wipers have been atrocious ever since I bought the D3 and am on my second set of LR blades which are no better than the original ones. We have already had over 1700 mm of rain up here in North Qld so far this year so they have been getting used.
Went and bought a set of Aunger aftermarket blades from Super cheap at $10.99 each today and they are just so much better. No more 'juddering' accross the windscreen. I can actually leave them on now instead of just using them for a wipe at a time.
Thank you for pointing us in the right direction.

Maybe I should not have installed the new blades until after we had more rain... it hasn't rained since I installed them - even though it was predicted by the BoM.
Well done Wopac - good information.

I bought the Aunger ones and the drivers side one in the middle is not very effective , so bent a bit here and there and they appear to work ok. not bad for $10.

Went and bought a set of Aunger aftermarket blades from Super cheap today very similar to the land rover ones. Seems to work well and you don't have to bend so that they will fit the windshield at $20 each.

have you tried them with some water on the windscreen. rained here yesterday and got to use the new wipers and went through a puddle and the Aunger ones don't shift nowhere near the volume of water. bit scary for a bit

We have had rain here in Brisbane for the last few days. Sheer magic!!
So I thought I would check my wipers (OEMs) as they had started to shudder a bit as posted by many others but I wasn't overconcerned as they still cleaned the screen.
To my surprise the passenger side rubber part separated from the metal backing just from handling. So, in the light drizzle (although we are in a drought, haven't had any decent rain for ages and water tanks are on back order) I went and got some of the Aungers mentioned above. Fitted them and then relished the quieter wiping but haven't had enough of a downpour to find out if catweasel's notings are confirmed on my car.
But about to head off for a while on the road so will soon find out.

Fitted a set of Aunger blades from Supper Cheep yesterday just before it rained
So tried them straight away, a little quick adjustment and perfect
At $10.99 for a set of two , unbeleaveable value With the price of the LR ones that are
they must be ing themselves to charge so much for a defective product.
Also found a set of seat covers at Supper Cheep, loose pull over type in a light brown synthetic canvass,
just the go for when I am covered in mud or grease. they were $69.99 by "Ben Dark".
They go on quickley and con easley be removed,[I like siting on the leather]
Thats my six peneth worth

I like the idea of the seat covers. Do they have a weak point for the airbag deployment? If not you will need to cut one. If this is easily done I may get some.
Just had my wipers replaced FOC by dealer so they are working for now. Getting there is half the fun

Yes they have on each side a slit which is held together by velcro.
The strange thing is there is a warning not to fit on cars with air bags in back of seats. but D3 has them in the side and I assume that is what the velcro thingeys in the side are for.
Eney way I only intend to use them when I need to as I realy like to sit on the leather. Having paid for leather I am going to enjoy them.

Plenty of rain over the last couple of days to test the Aunger 560's. They work well and no noise.
