just fitted my bargain drawer unit to the D3
evening all
just fitted my new (to me) Lintran Burr walnut drawer unit to my D3 it looks tip top with the TransK9 crate on top once i figured out how to wiggle then both in through the boot opening as with the drawer in situ the crate would not go through the hatch but slide the drawer unit out and slipped the crate in first then manoeuvred the drawer unit in and under the crate and hey presto its a nice snug fit and looks spot on
i paid a tenth of what those drawers were brand new

Having had a latch fail on me I totally agree with Geoff. Either that or you have the dog box with a forward escape hatch. Dismantling a dog box around a dog when the latch has failed doesn't bare thinking about.

yeah that could be a problem sadly that box was bought second hand and does not have an escape hatch on the front

Would be worth you changing the latch preventatively anyway, newer ones have lost the weak L connector that fails.

Part's cheap, £28 or so, but I had CDS & Steve Smith from here to change it for me as we were on a D3Club Pyenees trip. Not difficult if the latch hasn't failed, an absolute b er if it has.
