So why are the early ones filled with extras. I have a 54 plate HSE and when comparing it with an 06 plate HSE mine seems to be filled. The 06 one didn't the roof tv, active zennons, cornering lamps, tow electrics, centre fridge and properly more. What a difference a year and a half makes

Conversely, there is at least one early V8 HSE on this forum (if he still has it) that doesn't have front fog lights or auto-dipping rear view mirror.

All of these items would have been optional, I suspect. 2021 BMW iX3 Premier Edition in Carbon Black ⚡️🔌

I ordered new S in early 2005 and specified a number of extras including enhanced Sat Nav, cold climate pack etc etc. so a lot depends on the spec ordered.

Alas, I don't have electric folding mirrors. At least I have not spent 10 years folding the mirrors when a flick of a switch would have done it.
Crikey, ten years, never would have thought that would happen back in 2005 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I thought 06MY was the one year when the adaptives were definitely standard?

I've got a 2005 HSE and pushing the button down to retract the mirrors has no effect. Is there a hidden menu or other place I could look to see whether or not I have folding mirrors?16 D4 Landmark

According to the Discovery 3 Price List from April 2006 (which I still have), Powerfold Mirrors were a £205 option on all but the SE and HSE models in both TDV6 and V8 derivatives where they were standard equipment.
I believe they were later added as standard in 2007 with the launch of the XS (which lost heated seats as standard IIRC).

The button that controls the mirror movement should click downwards if it has the folding mirrors.
If it doesn't, you don't have them.
My 55 'S' has the button that clicks down, has a fuse in position but no movement in the mirrors; should I have folding mirrors or not - any other way to find out?'06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue

Would/should an '07 GS have folding mirrors?
Mine has fuse 16, but I've always folded them the "manual" way.
