Hidden Extras on My Early S
Over the years since I bought my Discovery in early 2005, I have appreciated that the S badge and all S's are not created equally! Some, especially the early ones had features that became extras in later versions.
Today I discovered that the heated screen washers that I recently bought in the Group buy are not needed - they are already fitted
Heated washers anyone?2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

The original heated D3 washers were famous for not being particularly warm or particularly reliable. Quite a few of us upgraded to the later type when they became available.

Mine had the heated jets, they were rubbish.
Upgraded to D4 heated ones which are much better.
I would fit them regardless.

Great, so my group buy was not wasted after all. And there was me worrying about whether my S would even have the wiring
I will fit them tomorrow, that should end the cold spell!2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Much underrated, the S.
Early ones even had xenon headlamps before Land Rover starting cutting back...
No crappy sat nav to send you off course but with many of the other convenience features of more expensive models.
All hail the S!

Lost for Words, that swap with Fuse 17 did go through my mind as well!
As for the early S, great value. Yes I have the xenons and heated seats and a few more extras that were standard at the time. Probably one of the reasons I never changed for a new Disco - the extras would have bumped up the price.

My last S had lots of extras , glass roof bi xenons , heated seats all round , on my second S just now but noticed that the mirrors used to fold in on my old one when i and pressed down on the mirror angle button is this an extra or a blown fuse

Folding mirrors? Not looked for those on mine! Will give it a try tomorrow. Of course in my case, I may have them but no fuse 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

The button that controls the mirror movement should click downwards if it has the folding mirrors.
