Oh yes, although the recent falls in Petrol prices has been VERY noticeable oddly.

So, scores on the doors are:
Moo - March 2005
Barn1e - May 2005
RLD - 1st June 2005
Mossy - June 2005
Blue Meanie Sep 2005
AVE - Oct 2005
DN - Nov 2005
Unless someone that bought in 2004 and still has the D3 steps forward, it looks like Moo is the winner. No idea what the prize is though 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I've had mine for 2 1/2 years.
The car however was first registered 18th Dec 2004 so it could be one of the oldest here.

So I'm definitely not gonna win because I got my '06 model in Aug '14. However in the 5 months I've owned it I've done 16,000 kms.

It is not a D3, but a D4, and I have only owned it for just under 3 years, but it is the longest I have owned a car for a long, long time and still with out any nagging doubts or itching feelings about trading it in.
It is a very strange feeling for me
I think this one's a keeper

Not me - only bought mine in late Aug 2009, although it was 'Forum owned' prior to that for a couple of years.
It's the longest I've ever owned a car, though (previous holder of that record was the preceding D2, at 5 years) ...Regards,

So, in terms of still owning the same D3 for the longest period, I think it looks like:
Jonhklee – Jan 2005
Moo - March 2005
Barn1e - May 2005
RLD - 1st June 2005
Mossy - June 2005
DrLex - June 2005
Blue Meanie Sep 2005
AVE - Oct 2005
DN - Nov 2005
..... unless some of the "old guys" turn up again2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I think we should have a complementary "Who had their D3/D4 the shortest?" - though I expect CFB would occupy places 1, 2 and 3 - long time ago now Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
