It's arrived - 56 D3 SE Manual
After a couple of weeks wait due to private plate removal, i finally picked up the Disco yesterday.
The wife has a horse hence the need for a decent towing car. Started looking at Defenders as a third car, then realised they aren't cheap for what they are, wasn't going to drive one of those as a second card. So looked at Disco 2's which would have probably done us but it's no Disco 3.
Hopefully i've done my research enough to avoid most problems but i'm under no illusion that there won't be any.
I've started the upgrades already
Bought some Xenon's from beanie
BT IIDTool to enable some features and help diagnose the problems.
Need to sort a reversing camera and possibly a horse trailer camera whilst i'm at it.
Pic from when it was at the dealers

Managed to sort the IID tool, recorded the faults and reset them all.
I'll give them another read at the weekend when i get round to doing the Xenons.
Seems the car has already had the EGR's blanked which is a bonus.
Slight squeak from the EPB shoes after release, doesn't always happen but probably needs investigating.
Love the car though.

Got home to the smell of warm brakes, NSR wheel very warm, felt the caliper was probably hotter so probably a stuck caliper. Will strip on Sat and clean and see if we can't get it moving.
On the bright side hopefully the mpg will increase once fixed

Probably, but I trust my own work. If a quick clean, file and grease doesn't work then it'll go back.
