I use the mud on my bus to protect the paintwork.

Here's my opinion from across the pond. Leave them ON. It's already been said, with the camels your truck is different than all the other silver Disco's. I think they look cool. Yes. Me. Sadly I have little choice but to keep mine due to some recent paintwork.
I have just looked to see what there is over here I could bring back which might be cheaper but the only options are LR parts and I am sure you do not want to pay UK prices +47%.
