Using my new Webasto 1533 Timer - How?
Installed timer today and after a few fights have got the FBH working on at least one 30 min burn.
Think my battery may be on its way out as needed a run before it would fire for more than a few mins.
Now - only have a timer so how do people use?
Thinking about adding RF remote to it but for now just timer.
Do people just leave one timer enabled for the morning and let it go even on the days you don't use car or set/enable it each day??
Would it matter other than diesel if it fired each day?
Your battery will play a big role for the FBH. If your battery is f d then the FBH will not start went low charge. I would get a new one asap. Common battery problems normally show up when its cold and shows transmission faults on first start or Special programs unavailable on the dash screen

You really need a way of triggering the timer without waking the car, otherwise it's a bit useless tbh.
Do the flame button mod and use a remote switch, about £10 from E-Bay.
At least that way you can fire up the FBH when you need it to prewarm the engine. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

I know they're a bit more money but can thoroughly recomended the quasar rf transmitter from maplin, available locally and added benefit of coming with its own small enclosure that's just big enough to mount the 1533 on
What ever you do please use a low wattage soldering iron, I didn't to start and had a nightmare trying to resurrect one of the pads on the board that lifted
Best mod ever though

Thanks - ordered one of ebay as already have a box and bit cheaper.
Thinking will only use at home so may mount 'blip' in porch so don't need to carry around.
Seems my battery going over night as FBH will start but shuts down after a while unless car been on run and battery up a bit then runs for 30 mins. Also found if car cold and started the FBH will operate fine now (after bit of brake cleaner and fault codes cleared!).
