open glove box then push it back in a couple of mm.
squeeze the stops ... they are either side of the gb about 1/2 way down the sides.
box will then open further.
the switch is in the plastic bar above the opening ... with your head in the footwell you should see it easily, although a torch is advisable.

Oh I wish I'd seen this earlier. I've just discovered that my map reading lights and third row lights are not working, because of this little Ford switch. It pops fuse 57. Now its out of the circuit, everything else works fine.
The switch has FoMoCo code 1S41-13B748-AD on it. There are quite a few on EBAY for many different Ford models.ex 96 Defender 300TDI
