Tdv6 s 54plate does it have rear diff lock
Does my 54plate disco have a rear diff lock it's doing my head in every time in climbing one of the rear wheels doesent spinning, I could up there places in l200 with diff lock where as my pals l200 with no rear diff lock does the same as my disco does
I know iv just kind of answerd my own question lol
Take a look underneath - if there's a motor on top of the diff, it's a locker. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

The other thing is don't drive it off road like you would an L200 or a defender ...it don't work in the same way 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Its not worth the hassle. Even without it, the traction control should prevent wheel spin. Try turning the DSC off before the climb, and give it a bit of oomph 8)

When I give it a few revs it seams to grip a bit better but it's not ideal, don't fancy putting a rock through the bottom lol

I presume you have it in rock crawl mode then?
One thing about the electronics and traction control, it does need a bit of movement to be able to work, as its using the wheel speed sensors to detect spin. I have always found the D3/4 to be fantastic over rocky ground. My Defender and my Series would often get stuck due to a cross-axle situation, where the D3/4 keeps going.
The only thing against it is its weight. What tyres do you have?
