| D3 bluetooth and radio reception fixed, what did I replace? |

Over the last two weeks Ive noticed radio reception sometimes poor, also bluetooth has packed up totally not even steering wheel buttons worked and voice recognition not working either.
Today I replaced two small cheap items what do you reckon they were?
Bluetooth now connects straight away, voice recognition works just dandy, one day I will actually get it to recognise my voice!
Radio will need testing on my regular commute but as other systems now on line Im sure it will be fine.

Bodsy and Narpy spot on, led stop/tail bulbs, good ones as well.
Been ragging my brain as to what I have done in the last 2/3 weeks since radio has been playing up, wife comes home and says her car has blown a stop lamp bulb, light bulb moment occurs! so change her bulb and move onto mine sorted 
Totally bemused how they can effect the car systems even when not switched on?

FWIW, I've been running good quality LEDs (from HIDS4U) as bulb replacements for over four years with none of the issues you describe.

TBH the voice control didnt bother me, the radio signal was my main gripe, it was only then I started to notice other stuff wasnt working.
Was asking some of the electric whizz kids at work and they were also bemused, can-bus was mentioned and after reading several issues caused by faulty brake light switches/bulbs there may be some fact in this.
One guy came from a vw dealer and said they did have several issues a few years ago with the early led bulbs and that was more related to the bulb failure systems not seeing the led ones.
No one had heard of any interference issues.

For what it's worth, the LED halos that I have modded to my front fog lights do cause some radio reception issues but it's only really noticeable when in a low signal area. Radio reception is decidedly scratchy, like hissing in the background until I turn off the halos resulting in reception being greatly improved and much clearer.
Gotta be honest though, it doesn't bother me as radio reception in usually very good.
As for voice control, I never use it. Damn thing doesn't recognise my voice. Mods:

i know this is an old thread but my Bluetooth isn't working and I have LED rear lights so wonder if they are causing it, if so would a D4 module than fix the fault.
