BAS Remap... or not!

I've always thought that my D3 is pretty quick already, what with my IC fitted. Now, having recently bought a BAS interface 2nd hand, I've been in touch with Pete and he has now revealed that my car is already tuned! Surprised

Naturally, this is slightly disappointing in a way - Pete says he couldn't get much, if any, more reliable power from it and can't tell who's done it. On the plus side, I now have the money to put towards other mods. Very Happy

If anyone is interested, my interface will be up for sale shortly but I'm going to offer my neighbour with a FL2 first dibs beforehand. Wink

Thanks to Pete for being honest too. It would have been easy just to keep quiet. Thumbs Up

You are not the first. I had a Turbochips map installed in my nearly-new D3 many moons ago.

The result was no change. Perplexed, the chap from Turbochips came back and did a few more checks and tried a normal map, to find the car much slower than before…

On further checking it turned out that it was Turbochips themselves who had remapped the car at the original dealers at PDI stage.

In many ways, I'm not surprised, really. Being the 7th or 8th (!) owner, it's easy for things to get lost down the line. It'd be nice to know who's map it is though.

The big plus though, is that I now have an IID BT from Dan @ Duckworth with my name on it. Very Happy

As always, still a never ending list of mods waiting plus on-going maintenance though.

Good news on the IIDTool. Are you selling-on your Nanocom?

No. For the time being, at least, I'll be keeping it as it still has its uses. Thumbs Up
