I don't think so but I can't be 100% sure. I've never seen it before, it defiantly needs bleeding through first then testing now I know where the bleed screws are. I have a short video of it. Just don't know how to upload it. It's just pure foam pulsing out

I think if you can afford it , and you've got the space to keep it and time and money to fix it it's worth a shout on , but it could end up a money pit , I Defo wouldn't drive it until some more investigating has been done there's a few around 7k with high miles -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

No it was just water at this point as it was empty when I got there
If it was empty to begin with all the damage could already have been done

I'm with the others on this one, screenwash in the cooling system.
Think I'd be tempted to flush it and see if it cures the foaming issue.
I'd also check the screenwash bottle to see if it contains anti-freeze. Mods:

How rare is it on these that the head gasket goes?? It's covered 126k. My mechanic says it could of had rad weld in and that causes it to foam?? What do you all think?? He did also say it would cost between £2000-2500 for the repair if it was the head gasket. Does that sound right? Many thanks for all of these replies

No the oil was fine but my mechanic did say it won't show in a diesel like a petrol as it mixes.

not that I would normally recommend sniffing things ,if you take the cap off (engine not running ) does it smell odd in anyway ?You're not afraid of the dark are you ?

Water in oils always shows regardless if petrol/diesel or transmission etc
Has someone tried to flush the coolant system with something to clean it out due to oil etc?
