Smells just like a diesel when I smelt the oil, no he coolant light come on the dash he said then he pulled over filled it up and now it bubbles. He hasn't got a clue on cars. I was thinking an air lock as it's not been bled. I need someone who knows what there looking at to take a look. Would it be worth paying he AA to do an inspection or would they just of me off and say possible head gasket

Don't buy it
Whats his phone number?
In all honesty, At £2k, I'd take a punt at it. Even allowing for a replacement engine, it'd still be a cheap car My D3 Build Thread

How much do you guys recon for a head gasket replacement with that being at worst??
Put it this way, if you posted up the contact details for the car, there would be a mad scramble by a few on here to buy it before you do, oh and I'm close

I'm thinking of paying for a pre vehicle inspection. What do you guys think?? To see what else is wrong and perhaps they could shine some light on the problem.

Book time (which can normally be doubled) is 22.4 hours for both head gaskets. I would allow 30-ish hours for them, worst case.
Parts are around £300 or so, + cost of a head skim, and you would put in a set of glow plugs, cambelt, oil pump etc
Dependant on labour rate, you could have it on the road for around £2k. However, I have seen 2 with cracked blocks in the past...My D3 Build Thread

To be honest I think your fannying around to much , if you can't afford to sort it in the worst case just walk away but if you've got the balls to just go for it DO it you could end up with a bargain -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

^^ agreed!
If you were serious about it, you would already have it by now, the amount of people that have told you it's a cheap car regardless of the fault is overwhelming! Even I you had to buy a used replacement engine it is still a cheap car. Get it brought.

Buy it, at that price you would easily make a lot breaking for spares.
It could also be a very cheap fix as you say the seller knows nothing about cars.
