I've probably done 85% of my 127k miles on CC at 60mpg. I agree probably not the most economical but it means you don't start going up & down in speed, plus it's a lot more relaxing.

I get over the gearbox doing it's own thing by locking it in 6th, just goin back to "auto" for hills.
