My new disco excited :)
I'm picking my first disco up tomorrow D3 SE 2006
I will be looking to pimp it up a bit, I would like the D4 rear light cluster and a sidestep at some point, any ideas folks, I'm not very mechanically minded, how much would these set me back?

Rear Light cluster prices vary .....
Generally just over £300 unless someone sells a set on here
They will need resistors to stop the fast click of the indicators on the dash ....
Straight fit otherwise ..... I have these
D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Sure theres a fella on ebay tha sells the d4 rear lights for £245 but u av to give hime ur original d3 lightsdefender 90 matt black 300tdi

Side steps, many different styles to choose from
Mines are Bearmach side tubes like these, around £100 and easy to fit. No cutting involved
Just noticed Andys are the sliders, a lot more robust and expensive D3 57 xs Stornaway grey
D2 02 commercial silver gone but a great servant and won't be forgotten

Cheers for the advice, looking forward to adding a few extras, hopefully I might be able to fit the side step then, I may struggle with the lights so might have to get them fitted.

Lights r really easy pal basically plug and play if u get resister pre fitted thats alls i done.. Two screws out then take light off disconnect light get new one plug it in then screw it back on.. Job done matedefender 90 matt black 300tdi

I would run it for a while before spending any more money on it, I spent a lot on pimping my Discovery up when I bought it, with all the faults I am getting now wish I had not, it's got to go it's so unreliable and will not get my money back. All the time we are out in it just waiting for the next fault to come up.

If the lights are as easy as you say I'm sure I could, where would I get a set with the pre fitted resistors??

I got mine from maltings off road great service an quick delivery.. I had my rear light before i even had the D3 hahahha i couldnt waitdefender 90 matt black 300tdi
