Front Bumper Removal
Hello everbody. Brand new owner of a Java Black V8 HSE.
Looking for instructions on front bumper removal. I'm fitting an A frame protection bar and driving lamp kit.
Should I tackle this myself or have a shop do it?
Great forum. Have been lurking around for a while.

You can do it yourself - does take some bottle though...

Its been a while since i removed mine but i think this how it goes
You have to remove the wheelarch flares. To do this you have to get at a screw behind each headlight. Its not too difficult
Firstly remove the grille, and lift up the metal tabs (one on each side of each headlight) that hold the h/light in place slide the h/l forward and unclip the wiring. Then remove the screw that runs thru the guard into the wheel arch.
Then undo the plastic screws that hold the front bar in place.
The wheel arches are held on by press studs
Good luck

No problem - as long as I don't get the blame if it all goes horribly wrong!

All 3 docs uploaded, you can find them in my "Front End" gallery...
Thanks for all the info. Lights fitted now. Cannot describe the relief I felt when the bracket lined up with those great big holes I had just cut in the bumper cover. I suggest large brandy instead of cup of tea to steady the nerves 10fc. Thanks againPot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011
