D3 or 4, 6 speed or 8 speed?

Probably the park interlock is stuck. When you press the brake, do your brake lights come on?

With it in park do you feel / hear a click from the transmission surround when you press the brake pedal?

Oh and welcome to the forum!

Maybe you'd get more help if you answered the very first question. Rolling Eyes

D3 or 4, 6 speed or 8 speed?

That was n reply to Narpy.

If there is no clunk from the gear lever area, you may well have a faulty brake switch, before delving deeper

How were you able to override it previously?
