Positive side to owning a Disco 3

Well, in 8 days we travelled in our Disco just under a 1000 miles - from the IOM (ferry first) up to Dumbarton and then toured around Loch Lomond, Argyle, the Isle of Bute and Stirling and then back down to Kendal for a couple of days and returned back to the IOM this evening.

The disco held it own and was easily the best vehicle for the roads and motorways we travelled on, it provided comfort and a safe and secure vehicle for my wife and my 20 month old son and it never missed a beat Bow down not bad considering it has 137,000 miles on the clock

I just thought I would share the positive aspects of owning one of these excellent vehicles Very Happy Thumbs Up

Lets face it, you must be a bit of a gambler, I know you had no option but use the IOMSP but it was a BIG risk that neither the Ferry of the Disco was going to breakdown.

I myself would have had my money on the ferry having some sort of an issue Rolling with laughter

they are an amazing vehicle.

when we did the lakes laning earlier this month, I covered 400 miles in one day, which was everything from fast motorway cruising to really gentle rock crawling, can't think of another vehicle which would have done that in such style, comfort and ease

If they were cheap to run they would be way more expensive and everyone would have one. They really can do it all.

We drove all the way back from the west coast of Scotland to Hereford without stopping earlier this year, no dramas. My kids are only 10 and 11 but are hardened travellers but the vehicle really helps.

And is more reliable than the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company ferries.

But that not hard. Smile

Mine is earning it's keep, pulling loaded trailers with building materials, limestone, ballast , sand, a 3T digger, also pulling out tree stumps, fencing, not to mention all the rubble and waste coming out.

What other car, well ok, my Defender can and does too, but the creature comforts are better in the D3, I must give it some TLC when we're done Laughing and a new mud flap, lost one of them today Rolling Eyes
