Car has been gone now for nearly a week having the new rear cross-member fitted for this towbar recall. Never realised how much I would miss her.......
Even though we have a newish Freelander as a loan car and not some crap Focus or worse, it is surprising how much you miss the load space and off road capabilities of a Disco3. Even just crossing a grass field you realise just how good the air suspension is and being able to raise the height on a D3 is really missed. Also I have never had so many near misses on the journey to and from work on the M4 since using this car. The D3's on road presence must have a different effect on peoples decisions to carve you up and do stupid things around you.
How people sell up and move away from their Discos is a mystery. Is there a help group for the withdrawal symptoms.... ------------------------------

The bright side to this is that after a few days driving other vehicles you will get yours back and fall in love with it all over again

Absence makes the heart grow fonder...ah! Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

Must be a different mindset down there, round here they seem to see a Land Rover and consider it a challenge. Perhaps it's a Land Rover = farmer or tourist = slow sort of thing.==================================

I've got massive withdrawal issues since sold my old bus and new Disco has not been delivered yet and there is no sign it will happen soon due to complete lack of competency and lying at dealership
