I have just bought a second hand genuine LR bike carrier. It has all the brakets with it but try as I might, I have removed the plastic cover on rear bumper to reveal a large towing eye and nothing that seems to allow me to connect the bike carrier. The two holes in bracket attached to LR do not line up with the two holes on the bike carrier bracket. Do I need another piece of kit in order to attach my bike carrier?

I've got the same bike carrier & ive got a fixed tow but just a word of advise if you tow a caravan like me make sure you get a extra spacer or the caravan hitch won't fit

It's also a bit poor, as it blocks the tailgate from opening - I suspect it's the same part as the one for the D2; the 'kink' shaped to account for the spare wheel mount.
Used mine twice in ten years; really should disinter it from the garage and sell it. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Thanks all for advice. Gutted! Thought I was getting a cheap way to suspend the bikes outside the car giving full luggage room on French trip.
Ill try and find a cheap tow bar to attach. Is this something I can attach myself? Looks like a big triangular steel structure. Does it need welding or just easy to bolt underneath? Any help appreciated. Graham

Any info would be much appreciated.
