Had this for 2 weeks now so thought I would start a thread on here.
My Dad has just upgraded to a D4 so I bought his old D3 off him. Its a 2007 Tdv6 Pursuit model in Black with 58000 miles on the clock.
Its a lovely motor, but sadly lacking in some of the toys I had got used to in my Td5 D2. I am intending to fit some of these when I get a chance. I know I can fit cruise control and stereo switches on the steering wheel without too much hassle, I would also like the heated windscreen and a bluetooth phone connection, Nav screen etc. I have done a lot of reading on here and realise that some of these mods are more difficult so we will see how it goes. I have already fitted 13 pin dedicated towing electrics, and a dashcam transferred from my D2.
A few pics taken last week.

Heated wind screen can be fitted if wirring is in the n/s o/s pillars you will also need to replace the control module with the option on it, I've fitted auto lights & wipers to my gs cruise control front fog lights not found the wirring for the windscreen yet & then there's the heated seats to wire up if you require the heater control module I have a hse one which as the option for all ps once you start adding toys you keep on lol hope all goes well

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have a 2008 Pursuit and virtually none of the wiring was in place. The only wiring I have found is the connectors for puddle/footwell lamps and the auto dim/rain sensor wiring in the headlining. Mods I have carried out so far are
Front fog lights - no wiring in place to behind headlight or to indicator light in dash
Adaptive xenon - no wiring in place including corner lamps
Heated windscreen - no wiring in place
Heated seats - no wiring
Cruise control and stereo switches - no problem with these
Auto wipers and auto headlights - no problem once sensors and switches are fitted. Wiring all in place.
Puddle lamps and footwell lamps - no problem wiring in place.
Washer level sensor - wiring in place
Parrot Bluetooth - easy to install and works really well
On the to do list
Headlamp washers - no wiring in place
Rear LED lights - no problem with ballast resistor
Webasto timer - easy to add
D4 heated windscreen washer jets- no wiring in place
It can all be done with a bit of effort and access to the wiring diagrams, but not easy if you're not confident with vehicle wiring. The CJB is an instrument of the devil and a real pig to get in and out. Once you,ve done it a few times you get the knack.
Let me know if you want any wiring diagrams and I'll see what I can do.

I haven't looked for heated screen wiring yet, what do the connectors look like? I may be interested in the heater control module, how much would you want for it.?Andy

Thanks, wiring diagrams for heated screen, auto wipers and lights would be useful. Footwell lights are already there, I like the idea of puddle lights though so may look into those.
can I ask what you mean by CJB, as I am not familiar with D3 abbreviations yet?Andy

Rain sensor wire will be there. Remove the courtesy lights from the headlining and have a good feel around. You should find two connectors covered in foam stuck to the roof harness. One will be for auto dim mirror and the other will be for rain sensor. The rain sensor also does the auto lights. In order to fit the rain sensor you need to have the mounting on the windscreen. This normally means replacing the windscreen. Change the headlight switch to one with the auto position and change the wiper stalk to one with auto position. Rain sensor will need to be enabled in the CCF (Car Configuration File). Someone with diagnostics unit can do this for you.
Tested out the Land Rover assist and Select warranty last week. Went out to it after a night shift to find a completey dead battery. Land Rover assist arrived in 40 mins and diagnosed a faulty alternator, offered to get me recovery to a Dealer or to get me going with a new battery and disconnecting the alternator from the battery and then following me. I opted for the second option as Ididn't want to hang around for recovery. The technician follwed me 20 miles to Hunters in Derby and then stayed to sort all the paperwork out. Land Rover Assist had phoned me on the way to find out if I was fixed or needed to get it to a garage. I told them I was on my way there and they organised a car tobe ready for me. So all in a I am very impressed with the service, I got my car fixed for free and got a 15 reg Range Rover sport HSE to drive while it was done Andy
Just fitted a RR sport steering wheel with the cruise and stereo switches. I have not activated the cruise as I have not yet got the unlock codes for my Nanocom, however I have tried it and it is working although there is no indication on the dash that it is on. If I update the CCF will this then put the indication on the dash or should I not bother since the cruise is definitely working? Andy

Once you update the CCF you will have the indication on the dash, or at least that is what happened with mine.
Lead a group from the D2 Boys club around some Leicestershire lanes last Sunday. Stuck to the hard based lanes as the field ones were far too wet. Some good fords to cross though and the D3 performed brilliantly.Andy
