My first D3
Morning all,
I purchased my first D3 yesterday. Will be picking it up on Tuesday. It's a Dec 04 HSE tdv6. Just broken in with 265k kilometers, full main dealer history.
I have enjoyed reading up on what's needed in the form of mods etc. These are my plans for the near and distant future:
Full service
EGR Banking
IId tool: 3 flash, COD, FBH
BAS Remap
Flush gearbox
BT module d4
Brodit clips for Tomtom
BT aux mod
Tint rear windows
Front and rear light guards
Britpart sidestep / slider bars
Anything I have forgotten on my mods list

Took delivery yesterday. Of course on the 100 mile drive back home, I got my first error message: the orange suspension light.... Great start. I'll hook her up to my OBD reader to see what faults I get, but expect the compressor to be shot.
Anyhow, have booked her for a service at my local land rover Indy next week, so it will be fixed. In the mean time I will have the rear windows tinted today and have order some small stuff online to get the mods going.

Drove by my indie this afternoon to get a first assessment. 1st service is gonna be expensive with at least a propshaft & compressor
On the upside, I am quite happy with the Darth Vader look created by the 5% limo tint. The tinting guy advised this over the 20% tinting, because my car has a light interior. Is quite dark in the evening, but similar to SWMBO's Lancia Voyager.
Good luck fella. you may need it at some point. but still a great car

If you knew how expensive road tax was in Holland on a D3, you'd think he's going to need more than luck.
Liam, can I ask, how much is the road tax on your new car in NL?Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

Narpy, I try to forget about these things!
Seriously, road tax for a heavy diesel 4x4 is about 250€ per month (roughly 175 pounds at the current rate.

I'm glad I'm not having to add that amount to my monthly outgoings! that's a shocking price to pay a month
