A love that never dies
Since I've sold my TDV6 a year ago due to relocation I've been miserable and haven’t had pleasure driving anywhere and didn't like to go camping anymore, getting behind the wheel of a car was not what it used to be, was a drag.
BUT this has all changed for the better again! You see love is a connection in the spirit as it is in flesh and you cannot deny or kill true love.
On Tuesday this past week I've seen this beauty being advertised. Went to meet her on Friday afternoon and just new I will be taking her home. Spotless, 67700 km on the dial, not a mark; spot or blemish on the interior. The 4.0 V6 growls like a wildcat, and responsive to the touch. Even SWAMBO likes her and doesn’t mind another lady with zest in our lives.

Better happy and poor than miserable and rich, well so I tell myself!
Welcome back to insanity.

It must be love at first sight buying a D3 on Friday the 13th hope it proves to be lucky for you. Lucky devil V8. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I've not heard of a 4.0 V6 before... Is it something that just wasn't sold in the UK?what is this life, if full of care?

I thought it was petrol, not a TDV6 that could be quite interesting. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Was made for the Aus & US market, some found their way to S.A and the GCC countries (Middle East)
From Wikipedia:
The engines used in the Discovery 3 were all taken from Land Rover's sister company at the time, Jaguar. A Ford/PSA-developed 2.7-litre, 195 hp (145 kW), 440 Nm V6 diesel engine (the TdV6) was intended to be the biggest seller in Europe. For the US market and as the high-performance option elsewhere, a 4.4 litre petrol V8 of 300 hp (220 kW) was chosen. A 216 hp (161 kW) 4.0-litre SOHC Ford V6 petrol engine was available in North America and Australia.
