[Wanted] Looking for my first D3
Hello,
I have just sold my 90 and giving myself a bit more comfort and treating myself to a D3.
I have not got an overly big budget around £6500 maybe a little more.
Looking for one that is in the lower tax bracket if possible
Anything about? I don't mind manual or auto would prefer with leather interior but just want a nice
one with not so much of a high mileage.

Not wishing to 'kill your pig' so to speak but be wary of running costs even if you can find one to get on the ladder...
As has been mentioned many times, the original D3's were £30K to £40K motors when sold as new with running costs to match - and those running costs don't decrease in line with purchase price as they get older...

But running costs are much lower than when the vehicles where first introduced and no one understood them, many none original parts are now available from suppliers like AdvancedFactors at a fraction of LR prices, you have free access to the best LR site in the world for advice to assist in maintenance. Even a basic brake pad change was not recommended and left to main agents, "if you change them yourself sir you may upset or damage the anti-lock or hill descent system, best let us do it".
Yes they still only do 25mph if you're lucky but that's the price of shear luxury and a defner doesn't do any more. The secret is to buy one that has been looked after and been properly maintained like mine, but it ain't for sale .It can when others can't,

If that's all yours does you've got issues. Mine will easily go over 100mph
