Apartment to rent in South Hams on coast (next to South Coast footpath), expansive views across Start Bay. Beaches, good pubs, clifftop and seaside walks.
Perched high above the ruins of a tiny fishing village, Prospect House is a former hotel with a remarkable and romantic history, carefully restored and converted into stunning apartments and cottages in recent years. Many of the new properties have wonderful and dramatic sea views whilst all have access to the beautifully landscaped gardens, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts and private parking.

That looks lovely, great location, I love it down there. Will bear this one in mind for the spring.____

sorry - no dogs. We'd love to, but the lease dictates no pets. It's a pity as many of the people who might like to go are the sort who'd have dogs too. On the other hand, no-one else's dogs can disturb you.

Is it walkable to a pub or two for an evening meal and pint?

oh yes
it's a clifftop walk, so there are great views, though it's safe as there's a decent path - but this time of year, definitely take a head torch or hand torch each.
It's about 20 minutes, to the Cricket in Beesands http://www.thecricketinn.com, which does great beer and excellent food - fish especially, as you'd guess, and there's also Britannia @ the Beach http://www.britanniaatthebeach.co.uk (restricted winter hours) where the fish is even better, you can buy lobster and crab and fish to take back to the flat and cook if you wish, and which is byob with no corkage - I prefer it, unless it's cold and wet. It's a covered decking, much more rustic than the Cricket.
Most of the other pubs are more than a quick evening walk, to be honest, but there's the Pig's Nose which is worth a visit, and a whole host of other country inns and suchlike a short drive away. Any more questions, just ask..... (btw, it's free from now until just after Christmas, if you fancy a late escape.....)
