I believe the engine is generally the same from 2009 - 2016. If both were 3.0l, then the SDV6/TDV6 is just a badging designation.
The car which was an SDV6 probably had a DPF fitted though, but don’t think that would impact the engine swap.

What about if I sell it in the future, does it devalue it. It was a 255 brake hp does that make a difference

Well the main question is you said it was a recon unit. Was it a LR recon, or a second hand engine?
I can’t see the actual engine making any difference to the value, but the type of recon or unit fitted could.
If a genuine new recon unit, then I would say nothing, maybe even a slight increase in value, but if a second hand, or non LR recon, then it could hit the value I guess.

Was there ever a 252 bhp version? the first 3.0TDV6 was 245, and IIRC, the last for the 3.0 SDV6 were 255. Were there any interim horsepowers and did the change from T to S signify a horsepower change or was it the rotary knob cars that came with the higher hp?
