Adios amigos.
Well, after 5 years of ownership, the D3 goes at the end of this week.
I'm returning a Freelander 2, as I can no longer justify the cost of running the D3. Its 8 years old, and there are few gremlins at play and that has helped me make my mind up.
I will bob in now and then, but wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for your help, support and the ridiculously funny banter.Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

If your getting an FL2 and joining Freel2, there's absolutely no reason why you still can't read and contribute to Disco3 as well.
Since 2005 and after a D3, D4 and now FL2, I still regard this as my spiritual home.

The FL2 is a nice car and wish you well with it
I was fortunate enough to own three of them before the D4 and enjoyed them all You may want to stick around here though as the FL2 Fora people seem to find lots of reasons to talk about cleaning and polishing their cars! The only paint treatment that I regularly use on mine is a mud pack 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

You will be most welcome on Freel2 mcsimmo, it's a well established forum, with plenty of good members, you will recognise some from here.

Thanks for the good messages. I am somewhat bothered that the Freel2 site does not have a 6 nations thread though....Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Oh oh, I see Tastastic (my mod from the FL2 forum) has just posted here.
Well that's me in trouble next time I check-in over there.

Ron, surely you knew Taz and Nick are over here? You're not wrong though, as good as the others are too, the sheer number of members here give this site the edge for wide ranging discussion.
Enjoy the FL2, mcsimmo; if you have the same experience as me, it'll be a great period of reduced driving expense. It's not without issues, but in my experience the FL2 is probably the easiest going LR to own. RonP dont worry, there are quite a few ex Freely owners here! Me included. I, unlike some have kept my original username... I know there are members on here who different identities on each of the forums!
I still miss my first freelander2... The aptly named Mighty Mildred.
