Like I say I'm a real amateur at this - if anyone has a photo of exactly where I'm attaching wires to I'll be forever grateful.

No worries, if you're in no rush I'll have a ganders at which colour wire I connected to on headlight loom (mines got hids but should be same) although someone will beat me to it I'm sure... Instructions come with the unit, one to battery live, one to earth and one to headlight live, then live and earth to halos, just check which wire is live on halo although it may not matter with leds? I connected with crimp push fittings so could easily swap round if I got wrong or smashed fog light. I'd connect to dipped beam rather than sidelight as I connected to sidelight first but halos came on with sidelights so lit up if parking lights left on. You'll just need some twin core wire to run from your halos - I put the drl controller in the black plastic housing where battery located and threaded wires neatly - Looks really cool, especially at night

Amazing - that's really helpful, thank you. Ordered parts today so I'll have a bash in a week or so when they arrive and let you know how I get on.
