I pulled in at work a few minutes ago , engaged the EPB as normal. Immediately I got a warning light flash/dong accompanied by a grating noise from the rear.I immediately turned off the Ignition and let it lie for a minute.Restarted , but lights and warning message are still there.EPB won't disengage.
I know there is an emergency release cable but seeing as my dealer is only 10 minutes away Im going to hang on a bit till they clock in and let them sort it out. This is my 6 th problem with the EPB , previously have lost reverse lights and gear indicator display , 5 times in with the dealer with this.As Im nearing my warranty end Im going to write to LR Irl seeking satisfaction that further EPB hiccups will be honored by them .

Try holding the EPB button down when you put the key in/out, that did the trick on mine a few times before it got fixed
Not so common...

Same thing happened to mine on Salisbury Plain. Even the emergency release had no effect. The thing was freed by engaging low 1st and driving off. The thing released soon afterwards. Needed a dealer visit to sort out though.
It then lasted 10k miles and did it again. Keepme informed what your dealer/Land Rover say as mine too is nearing end of warranty. Silver TDV6 HSE

Dealer stripped, cleaned, adjusted it many times, final straw was when it did it again 20miles from the dealer who were sure they'd fixed it this time, I then insisted they replace it. Not sure if they actually did but it's been okay since and I've done about 15,000 miles since then
