[Wanted] Discovery 3 V8 HSE |
|
Greetings All,
Again, apologies to admins for posting without reaching 25 posts...I figure it better to post without the minimum, than to post for the sake of posting.
I'm looking for a well cared for V8 Disco 3. Ideally well under 100K miles. Ideally without the LPG conversion.
I've seen a few here and there, but would prefer to buy from a member rather than a dealer, for obvious reasons.
Thanks All,
Winch

With a grand total of 385 V8 HSE's on British roads. You will be lucky to find a HSE with no gas conversion & under 100,000 Combined.

Mines got 115,000 no gas conversion, It drives like it's still new.
I filled my tank up this week drove it very sensibly I had 415 miles out of a full tank,
All mostly motorway. I don't know what the tdv6 does, I'm sure one of the dirty denzil crew will verify soon.

How do you find the V8 compared to your previous diesel discos?
I can see you've had a fair variety of them all + a rangie V8 very nice.

I like the D3 V8 the most. The V8 just makes the Disco even better. My TDV6 D3 was great but i didnt like the engine. The 2014 and 2015 HSE Lux's i had were great cars and really nice but a bit too nice for what i want from a Disco so sold them and got a V8 with the locking diff. Not an easy find!
I did love the V8 Rangie though. But the Jag V8 is better than the BMW V8. The Jag V8 really shifts and is smoother.
One thing that the diesels do better than the V8 is towing. The low down torque on the diesel is better but as long as your willing to pay the fuel bill for the V8 you just have to push the peddle a bit harder.
