Finally found the one....
Hi there all,
I've been an observer of this forum for a while, and been looking for a D3 for a good 8months. I've been doing the daily ritual of scouring auto trader and having changed my mind God knows how many times about how much I wanted to spend, I've finally put a deposit down on a MY09 Disco3 HSE.
It's got 106K on the clock and from what I can tell is in good nick. It's got a few cosmetic niggles sure, but nothin that a good few hours tinkering couldn't solve. I've read plenty of posts on here to get an idea of what to look out for, and having previously owned a Jaguar XJ, I'm VERY familiar with the issues of the ZF auto box and "the lurch" as it is known on the jaguar forums...
I'm rambling on now, but I'm picking it up Sunday morning after the dealer gives her a new MOT and a service. So pictures to follow, and people may have spotted said car on autotrader...
I'm finally glad I can officially join the club and cannot wait to get this beast home and eventually see what she can do off road.
So if anyone In the South Wales area knows/does any off roading, I'm game for some action and meeting up with some like minded people.

Sounds good and Chepstow isn't too far away. Although it is my youngest's 3rd birthday on the 14th, so doubt I'll be able to do much at all.
Yep will definitely get some pics when I collect, got to go to Peterborough to get it!
Best get myself a disco3.co.uk sticker I think...MY09 Discovery 3 HSE Auto

Much Appreciated!
I've added some photos from the dealer (i didn't pay that price BTW!)
I don't normally like cars with non body colour coded bumpers, but I think this D3 pulls it off really good.
All i need to do when i get it home is get a tin of Hammerite, some bumper blacken-er and get my spirit level out.
Disco3.co.uk sticker has been ordered.

Do a search on bumper black as there was an excellent post recently and the gun cleaning oil sounded like it was by far the best and longest lasting.

Well finally got her home in the last hour, what a wonderful drive home it was! I will put some photos up tomorrow morning when we have some light, although she has got her disco3.co.uk stamp on her back window now.
Two things I wanted to ask, may seem like silly questions....
1 the in built Bluetooth.... How do I set it up? I pressed the phone button and it says "no phone fitted" or something alike. Not sure if this is just a case of no phone being paired or genuinely not working...
2, I want to take off the removable towbar... How do I take it off?! There's a T20 on the left and a green cap on the right that turns a little? Am I supposed to loosen the T20 and expose where the keys go?
As I said, probably a silly question! MY09 Discovery 3 HSE Auto

Regarding Bluetooth, does it have the two levers Red &n Green, on the right hand side of the steering wheel airbag, if not it hasn't got it fitted.
There is a key which fits in the lock in the green knob to release it, then you can pull the knob out side ways and rotate anticlockwise to release. See if the key is in the vehicle somewhere, if not you will need to change the lock, not too expensive, but there are two sorts.

Yep it has the two paddles on the RHS of the steering wheel. I remember the dealer saying when I went to see the car saying that the previous owner said the Bluetooth wasn't working, but the dealer proceeded to ring demonstrate that it did work by ringing a phone that he had synced with the car I must be missing something. Where can I find the Bluetooth modules in case of loose wiring?
I got two keys for the tow bar, and I could see what looks like a keyhole, but the keys I had didn't seem to fit. I shall try today with my trusty can of WD40 MY09 Discovery 3 HSE Auto
