So.....
This week I have bought:
- a dash cam
- a ScroteStopper for my space-saver spare wheel from RLD
- a full-size alloy and tyre to replace the space-saver which is protected by Ray's ScroteStopper
I hope that none of these purchases will be needed. So why am I like a kid at Christmas with new toys which will, largely, sit in the background and do nothing? 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

Out of interest, why replace the space saver with a full size spare? 2012 - 8 Speed D4 HSE in Indus Silver with surround cameras, adaptive headlamps, privacy glass, rear entertainment, 20" alloys.

I do a bit of off-roading and have been advised that coming down from a mountain or whatever is less fun on a space-saver. I'd also like to be able to decide when I get a new tyre, rather than being dictated to by the restrictions of the SS. 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

I like the "ScroteStopper" brand
Can't imagine an advantage of having a space saver wheel, not when the wheel well will take a full sized spare. I once had a never Volvo V70 arrive with a substantial polystyrene infill in the full sized well in order to support the skinny spare Cheapskates! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I'm hoping that Ray might think about a small window sticker along the lines of "Spare Wheel protected by ScroteStop". 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

Too late. I have two major cash drains now - the Disco and hockey. I started (at 49) playing field hockey, rather than standing at the side spectating (i.e. providing a taxi service for elder son) and love it.
I was despatched to the hockey shop with my younger son to get him new shoes (he wanted hockey ones to be like his brother) - £170! Actually, £30 for the shoes and £140 for a new stick for me.
Every purchase, for hockey or Disco, can be justified - just as long as the real cost isn't revealed to SWMBO..... 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

Back on track - a sticker is not a lot of good in my opinion - a bit like 'Neighbourhood Watch Area' - or 'you are being observed' etc, etc etc....
Having a sticker is not going to stop a 'scrote' giving it a whirl..... the MY16 (for the most part) has a plastic cover with some sort of metal insert (so I'm lead to believe - never looked at the inner workings) - so a sticker on that plastic cover could be just a ruse that the scrotes will ignore anyway... and cause damage whilst they try to get at it.... even if an 'uncle ray' is installed underneath.... which they can't see.... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

I was meaning a larger, -off sticker for the rear window......I just like the idea of advertising a device which is marketed as ScroteStop.
If Uncle Ray wants to use it as a brand name, it's my gift to him. 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

Warning stickers with words like "scrote stopper" (however true) can only give the scrotes a challenge. Or more likely, no scrote ever sees themselves as a scrote anyway.
