RS500 intercooler fitted
A few weeks ago I started loosing power and a loud squeal/ whistle appeared, after checking hoses which were already replaced with silicone. I started to think it was turbo or intercooler which turned out to be intercooler ( Thanks to Disco Mikey for reading codes and recommending I upgrade rather than keep with OEM. So after weeks of trying to get joiner pipes from Auto silicone hoses after the messed up my order by only sending reducers and not the joiner pipes (picking error apparently) still never turned up after a week when I was promised next day delivery. Anyway I bought joiner pipes on Friday from a different place arrived today and as car was terrible to drive I went about fitting everything which was difficult as every bolt was rusted and some sheared off. But after a bit of fabrication finally fitted new RS500 intercooler and what a difference it has power again and whistle has gone . Next I'm getting a de cat pipe hopefully fitted by DM and possibly a remap. But I'm NEVER fitting an IC again and this is why
Took me about 6 hours from start to finish.
Never took anymore pics of the IC fitted as light was fading but I was determined I was getting it back together tonight.Chris
