MY14 headlight bulbs?
Having just spent £40 buying a couple of pairs of H7 philips racingvision bulbs, I find they don't fit the facelift halogen headlights
(Anybody need some 150% H7's btw? )
So what fittings do I need to replace the driving and main beam lights? Is it H11? For both?

OK, so no responses so far.
Manual says H7 fitting for the headlight.
Image below is also taken from the manual. Obviously 'B' is a H7 fitting.
However, when I take it all apart I see the bulb shown in image 3. That bulb in image 3 ain't a H7, nor is the one in my car. Obviously you disconnect the wiring, but you are left with a sealed bulb/housing that looks suspiciously like a H11 to me.
Am I missing something really obvious here (highly likely )

Istr the manual is wrong on the bulb type. Certainly H7 up to MY11 then changes.

From MY2014 headlamp bulb is H11 (or Xenon D3S for the bi-xenon version)Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
I would love someone to refer us to a LR document confirming this though.

Thanks dgardel, that's really helpful.
For completeness, image below is a scan of the relevant page from the handbook (which specifies H7):

My understanding is if Xenon:-
Dip should be: D3S; and
High beam: H7
I would love someone to refer us to a LR document confirming this though.

Only one bulb in 2014 onwards. As said, D3S for xenon H11 for halogen.

Fortunately I bought the H7's from amazon, so they're gone back for a refund.
Went down the H11 HID (4300k) route in the end, plus LED side and reversing lights. Interior and pool lighting all swapped as well.

Just an update on this post in case anybody finds it in the future.
I purchased a H11 HID kit for the car UK MY14 (registered Jan '14) with halogen lights. It (H11) doesn't fit.
The wired plug fits ok, but the bulb doesn't fit/secure into the headlight housing. See image below for the difference. The standard halogen bulb is on the right, the H11 HID on the left. Note the size difference between the three black plastic prongs:
The correct fitting is HIR2 or 9012. Even more confusingly the 9012 is sometimes called 9006 (pedant mode - there is a slight difference between HIR2/9012 and 9006, but the 9006 does fit).
For completeness, photo below is a close up of the OEM Halogen bulb and you can read the fitting references on the back.
Hope that helps.
