Nuf said for now me thinks, and is one of the reason I still yet do not think its safe for tuning on MY16 cars with warranty amongst some other known issues deeper in the tuning world.

So two respected tuning houses, one is ok with remapping an in warranty vehicle, the other not. Any insight Pete into why you won't do them?

Indeed. Same if you got bigger wheels/non standard size tyres etc, they invalidate any suspension / drivetrain claims
Not if they are approved aftermarket rims and tyres. The G4 platforms are testimony to that. I can't imagine being able to get them to agree to engine remaps though. Perhaps BAS and AT should approach JLR and offer the service, could be a good option. At least you know it's covered by warranty if bits fall off.

Apart from a few things I wont publiclly comment on as I dont want to make to many aware that Ive found the bugs/traps/flaws, one of the main concerns until MASTERED correctly and not just masked by the tuning tool providers is listed below.
Not all cars/calibration versions or models trigger this but once trigged its permanent and cant be erased, I Personally fell that for now is eniough to tread with caution.
P167F-00 Non-OEM Calibration Detected - No sub type information
Non-OEM calibration has been flashed into the engine control module
No dealer action required - DTC sets when an unauthorised calibration has been flashed into the engine control module
For me at the moment we do not offer tuning on this model even though we have the very same master tuning tools most other tuners also have as we know whats in the future pipeline that could byte you all one day, best to stay clear for the moment I personally feel.
Apart from that JLR are updating calibrations fixing factory bugs weekly nearly so wiping any remap is evevitable at the moment even if it were to be updated before the remap.

They made the fault code register for the MY16 ecus that give the fault code seen above amongst other things Ive found out, each can make their own conclusion as to why its been added to MY16 ecus.
As said above, considering how many updates and fixes JLR are bringing out for the later models it is evevitable at some point it will be in the dealers for some fix or other, Id personally not would want to risk warranty problems at the moment ??

The G4 was based on an HSE, with 19" rims, and 255/55R19 sized tyres. Same as factory spec (AFAIK)My D3 Build Thread
