Forest drive
Completed my auxiliary battery installation today and went to Loch Doon. Used the forest drive from loch head which comes back out on the Newton Stewart road. Noticed computer was showing 34 mpg at times. Enjoyable day with nice tea and rolls at the roundhouse at Loch Doon, well worth the run.

I spent good part of day yesterday cleaning the disco of the dust , everywhere! That's exactly where drive through forest is, there is harvesting in operation in the area and trucks around. Road a bit rough in places.

A group of us did it about 6 years ago ...as said mostly tarmac but some of it is a pourus topping ....nothing technical. It's a nice run through if you are in the area. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Very good, I came from Newton Stewart on Saturday over hill road, sun had set, not another vehicle on route. Great run. Had fish n chips before I left. Worked in to Northern Ireland 2mtr repeater. (Ham radio)
