Getting those high values for mpg involve motorway miles and keeping under 55mph. Good for the wallet but not good for the soul.D1 300Tdi - gone

Must be downhill from Walsall to York. And back.
Will prob be 31mpg in reality, still not bad.
Ah, a manual. That explains it.

If I could get that, I would have a party, just pulled the tin tent 300Km = 18MPG on the dash, didn't bother working it out brim to brim or I might have to give the tin tent up. Dale

I took my tin tent to the south of France 22mpg there 18mpg back with the wind, my D3 is a manual, I've spoken to a few that have had sensible remaps that have improved their towing mpg, might be worth a thought

Best I have got was just over 18 but that was on LPG. Typically mine does around 12 towing, 14-15 pootling around locally and 17 on the run, that's all on LPG at around 53p a litre, so cost wise equivalent to 24, 29 and 34 plus.==================================
